What services are offered |
Sahara, which means support in most Asian languages, aims to identify and address the needs of carers in the Asian community in the London Borough of Greenwich and to provide support for Asian carers of all ages as well as young carers (up to 18 years). There is a drop in service and an information centre and the organisation provides training for carers. Information, advice and practical support is provided and it is planned to bring Asian carers together to develop a support group. The organisation aims to develop close links with other agencies with similar aims.
The service does make home visits.
